Comparing ColorZilla with Similar Extensions
Upon comparison, it's evident that ColorZilla offers much more than the Color Picker extension. While the latter only provides information about HEX values, RGB channels, hue, saturation, and value, ColorZilla is a full-fledged suite of color-related tools. It allows users to get a color reading from any point in the browser, adjust the color, and paste it into another application, which Color Picker doesn't offer. Additionally, ColorZilla features a Webpage Color Analyzer, enabling users to get a color palette for any site, a feature missing in Color Picker.
ColorZilla and Color by Fardos share several similar features, including color picking from websites and saving favorite colors. However, ColorZilla differentiates itself with more advanced features such as an Ultimate CSS Gradient Generator and Palette Viewer with seven pre-installed palettes. Moreover, ColorZilla supports various sampling sizes and allows users to sample the average color of any selected area, which Color by Fardos doesn't offer. ColorZilla also stands out with its commitment to user privacy, clearly stating that it does not collect any user data or browsing activity.
While the Web Developer Checklist isn't a direct competitor to ColorZilla, it's worth mentioning as it also targets web developers. Unlike ColorZilla, which focuses on color-related tasks, Web Developer Checklist analyses web pages for violations of best practices, serving a different need. While Web Developer Checklist is a handy tool for ensuring quality control, ColorZilla is more versatile with its offerings. Its myriad features, such as the Eyedropper, Advanced Color Picker, and Palette Viewer, make ColorZilla indispensable for developers and designers who work extensively with colors.

Copy to clickboard seems to not work. I have workaround as I can see previous color in palette. But please fix.
It said it copied the color to clipboard but in fact it did not This extension is a scam
I've been using this for longer than I can even guess— 10 years? 15? Whatever, it's always done exactly what I needed it to do: easily pinpoint exact colors as I need them.
For me the issue is that it closes each time I select a color, so I'm constantly reopening the eyedropper. Too tedious for my use. I couldn't find an option to change that behavior.
Been using for 2+ years, haven't found a single problem with it.
Using it now and very useful tool. Completely free. Love it
